Gchat is my constant

Oh my gosh. Gchat is back. Did anybody else freak out at this afternoon's temporary lack of Gchat? The scariest part was that I had logged off at one point and when I logged back into Gmail, THERE WAS NO CHAT BOX. You know how normally, there's a box that tells you that Gmail is experiencing technical difficulties? I DIDN'T EVEN SEE THAT BOX! It was the first time literally since February 2006 when Gchat debuted that that box wasn't on my screen!

Breathe, breathe... even Gawker reported today's lack of Gchat! Oh my gosh. I freaked out and wrote an EMAIL to Lucy (my most frequent Gchatter)... yes, an EMAIL... to ask her whether hers was working.

Sigh. It's working now. Thank God. I feel connected again.
